  1. Hi Daryl-Ann! Thank you for reaching out to me! My husband was born in Bushwick and remained there until 1977. His grandparents and other family members lived in Bushwick from the 1960's. He has fond memories and great photos from back then..some, he can also borrow from his mom. He grew up part of his life at 1185 Hancock..the house is still there. After moving from Bushwick, part of his family relocated to New Orleans. However, he with his parents moved to Queens, NY, so he was noever too far ad would vist the area sporadically. When we attend Mme. Meisler and Martir's event given at the Live Gallery by Nyssa, it brought back many childhood memories for him. Please feel free to reach out to him at Collet Keith, his facebook "handle." He would love to speak with you..you can also email him at ZEL0107@yahoo.com!

As for the friend that still lives in Bushwick, his name's Okoya - you should also reach out to him! He's one of my (art Nonjudgmental's) friends, so you should be able to find and friend him - or you can email him at OkoyaRocks@hotmail.com
